How to Check Power Bank Capacity? This is a question. In order to accurately measure the actual capacity of the power bank, we need to use a professional power bank capacity tester.
Figure 1. Power Bank Capacity Tester
The process steps for power bank testing are as follows:
Step 1: Connect the power bank to the charging port and discharge port of the power bank checker.
Step 2: Open the professional testing software of power bank checker.
Step 3: Set the charge and discharge test process according to the specifications of the power bank.
3.1 Command 1
CVC mode (constant voltage charge), the constant voltage is set to 5.5V and the charging end current is set to 50mA.
3.2 Command 2
Rest mode, the rest time is 5 minutes.
3.3 Command 3
IDdischarge mode, the current is set to 2100mA, ID is set to 5, which means 5V2.1A discharge. The discharge end voltage is set to 2V.
3.4 Command 4
Cycle mode, the cycles times is set to 2, and the initial command is command 1, which means 2 cycles from command 1 to the current command.
3.5 Command 5
CVC mode (constant voltage charge), the constant voltage is set to 5.5V and the charging end current is set to 50mA.
3.6 Command 6
End.
In addition, we can also set protection conditions, such as setting the upper limit of current to 3500mA, the upper limit of voltage to 6V, and the lower limit of voltage to 1.5V.
Step 4: Execute the test process. After the test, we can check the capacity, energy, duration, charging efficiency, discharge efficiency and capacity decay rate of the power bank in each charging step and discharging step. We can also view and export recorded data and graphs.

Kindly reminder: The above test process is for reference only and can be freely set according to the specifications of the power bank. Command types and parameter values can be set on request, but of course, those cannot exceed the range of the power bank capacity tester.
This professional power bank checker can not only test power bank capacity, but also perform battery cycle life testing and aging testing of newly assembled power banks.
