The purpose of the battery charging performance test is to check the charging ability of the lithium-ion battery in different states. Battery charging performance test includes battery slow charging performance test and battery fast charging performance test.
Among them, battery fast charging refers to the mode of charging at a higher current rate. Fast charging is usually the act of charging at high current rates in a low SOC state of the battery system.
Battery fast charging performance tests were conducted at designed current rates in low, normal and high temperature environments. The specific test procedure is as follows.
1) Discharge the battery to the specified discharge cut-off conditions in a specific discharge procedure at ambient temperature.
2) The battery is left to stand at the target temperature.
3) At the target temperature, charge the battery with the set charging method until the charging cut-off condition, and record the charging capacity, charging energy and charging time. In addition, the internal temperature difference of the battery system at the end of charging needs to be recorded.
4) Put the battery in a normal temperature environment until the temperature is balanced.
5) Discharge the battery to the specified discharge cut-off conditions in a specific discharge procedure at ambient temperature, and record the discharging capacity and discharging energy.
Record the test results in Table 1-1.
