The system function testing of EV batteries is mainly to verify the basic function and acquisition test of electric vehicle battery system.
The electric vehicle battery system must be able to measure and monitor important parameters such as the voltage of the EV battery pack, the voltage of the minimum monitoring units, the system operating current, the system temperature, the insulation resistance of the system and the charge state of the system, and must meet the accuracy requirements of the system design.
1.Voltage acquisition function and test accuracy
In addition to the system voltage of EV battery pack, the voltage of the minimum monitoring unit also needs to be collected and monitored, and the testing accuracy is directly related to the stability and reliability of the system operation.
When verifying the voltage acquisition function, it is recommended to perform it separately at different ambient temperatures and different SOCs to verify the performance of the voltage sensor. Different ambient temperatures and different SOCs combinations can be performed by linking the thermal test chamber and the EV battery tester.
The following table for verification of the voltage acquisition function is provided for reference.

2. Operating current acquisition function and test accuracy
It is recommended that the current acquisition function and test accuracy be verified at different temperatures, such as high, normal and low temperatures.
For the small current range of 0~10A, the test can be verified at intervals of 0.5A.
For the current range of 10A~Imax, the test can be verified at intervals of 5A.
3. Temperature acquisition function and test accuracy
Verification of the temperature acquisition function and accuracy is recommended at 5°C intervals.
4. Insulation resistance acquisition function and test accuracy
The insulation resistance acquisition function and test accuracy are verified for the entire EV battery system.
5. Verification of SOC estimation function and accuracy
The verification of SOC estimation function and accuracy is recommended to be performed under different temperature conditions, such as high temperature, normal temperature and low temperature environments.
5.1 Discharge capacity test at normal temperature
The EV battery system was tested for discharge capacity at ambient temperature and the discharge capacity was recorded as Q0.
5.2 SOC test at ambient temperature
The SOC test at ambient temperature includes three different intervals: SOC < 30%, 30% SOC ~ 80% SOC and SOC > 80%.
5.3 SOC testing at high and low temperatures
Similarly, it is necessary to test SOC in three intervals: SOC < 30%, 30% SOC ~ 80% SOC and SOC > 80%.
